Wahl deep black shampoo will help, its made especially for that purpose. :)

I've heard of Black as Knight. ;) I've heard it works well.

I've used nutmeg, but have to start at the very beginning of spring giving it to them and their coat won't fade. Black as Knight is excellent product too.

I just bought some Vetrolin Shine because it has a sunscreen in it. I think Show Sheen has sunscreen too. I haven't used it yet, Won't really be able to tell how well it works for awhile.
