Showing
I shake out my grooming bucket about every week.. I rinse my horse's pad every 3 days, and I try to clean my brushes out every time I use them with a metal curry or scrubbing them in the water bucket.. My hoof pick is always clean as I want his hooves to stay healthy and I think a dirty hoof pick wouldn't accomplish that.

But I don't really clean my saddle or bridle lately because I ran out of saddle soap.. I rinse off his bit though..

I USED to clean everything once a week, but I had a tack store nearby so I could grab what I needed without ordering online.

Usually I clean my brushes after my dog runs off with them, forgets where they are, and they stay their for a few weeks. Or, simply when they are dirty.

Gets cleaned everytime I bath my horse (I bathe before every show) to conserve water & soap. I use the left over bucket of soapy horse shampoo water to soak all my brushes, etc in. When I am rinsing out the bucket & cleaning up my washrack, I rinse off the equipment & let it dry in the sun. I have different show grooming equipment from everyday stuff. Show grooming equipment I clean at the end of the show season since it stays pretty clean as I am using it on a clean horse every time.

This. It works out to about 1x per month for me with my one (very dirty) horse. I just swamp the bucket out with water, and scrub all of the brushes and such in the bucket of clean water.
