I pulled his mane shorter and it sticks up!?

So I pulled my TB mane today.I was talking to the barn onwer and was not really paying attions to how much I was pullin.I know lesson learned.But any way I pulled it I bit shorter than I normley do so it kinda of sticks up! Any way to get it to lay down? It looks way shorter than it is because he is really tall and is mane is thin.I know it will grow out but I have been beating myself up about it.I wird about my horses mane and talis lol I will not let scissors near my Arab/saddle breds mane but I hack off my TB's all the time.

Did you thin it first? I have seen this time and time again......a mane pulled before its thinned......or the mane is sawn off with a sharp comb, not taken piece by piece which will thin it at the same time....

Did you actually 'pull' it out, or cut it????

The only way to keep it down is to tie thick pieces in bands and pray it lays down on his neck.....

Yep thinned it.He did not need much because his mane is very thin as is.lol.But
I pulled it.I hate the look of a "cut" mane.(Sorry any one how likes that.Theres nothing wrong with that I just don't like it) lol thank you!

Yup, then it's just too short! Glad you pulled it! Ugh - teenage girl at the barn the other day 'pulling' (actually sawing the mane off with a sharp comb) her daddy's reining horses mane!!!!! OMG I nearlly died! She's trying to turn this animal into a jumper!!! Now his beautiful long mane (reiners need a long mane! It's just how it is!) is about 3" long and sticks up all over!!!! (I'm peeved because my horse has dental floss for a tail and mane!!!)
I was actually thinking of doing a grooming clinic at my barn.......mane PULLING, tail pulling, clipping etc.......

My poor mare came to me completely bald ;-; in 1 year her Beautiful long mane is down past her neck :3 Long and thick and wavy and perfect xD Her's is never being shortened!!

If I do a clinic and can find some guinea pig horses who's owner doesn't care or want their horse mane pulled I will video and post:)
