I want to cut my horses mane, but I have a couple questions.

So my horse has a spot in the middle of her mane where she rubbed it short at her old home. So the mane is uneven, I want to cut it evenly, but the rub spot is only 3-4 inches long, and I like how long the rest of the mane is.
So here's one of my questions, how long would it take to grow and least another 3 inches?
Also, her mane is thick so it stick kinda up, would it look funny?

If your final wants are a long mane-don't cut it-let it just go through it's awkward stage. Some horses grow as much as an inch a month. Horses are animals that live outside-they will not always look perfect, even though they may be on the inside!

Personally, I would practice patience and let it grow to match the rest of the mane...which it will...eventually. : )
