Iodine on my sorrel

Someone told me that if you put a few drops of iodine in your shampoo and let it sit for a bit on your sorrels coat it'll bring out that deeper red? My horse is already pretty red, but I thought it would be cool to try before one of my rodeos.

Haven't heard of that trick before. I would suggest trying it out under the mane or in another easy-to-hide spot in case anything goes awry! I'm curious to hear from others if it works!
