now that show season is in full swing what are some tips or tricks you've learned over the years?

baby oil- showing in a halter or showmanship class? to get an almost unnatural shine rub some baby oil all over them. just be careful because it can get to hot and blister their skin

put baby oil on your freshly clipped bridle path to make it shine and get rid of any dandruff

shapleys show touch up- really is the BEST THING EVER ;)

use sharpie on the areas you missed with hoofblack

cattle flyspray- showmanship or halter you want your horse to stand set up for the judge and it sucks when their getting bit by flies. cattle flyspray is way more potent than any horse flyspray. it STINKS though

if your horse is tweaking out put some vicks vapor rub under their nose. its shiny and the smell calms them down

your turn -

-baby oil (lightly) on a rag on their nose and inside their ears (use a tiny bit of alcohol on a rag for inside their ears first to clean them out) don't use the baby oil if showing out in the sun!
-never dull on the outside area of the bit, then buff with a rag to make it shiny.
