    The mane is supposed to be on the right I think? Well my horse has it on the left. But I did not train it to be on the left?:(

    I also like it to lay on the right just so it's out of the way while i'm on her left. Also, my little sisters like to brush it out while I'm tacking up, so it all works out

    So how DO you "train" a mane to lay on the right side? Sandie's lays on the left naturally, and I heard you can braid it...so I put hers in braids on the right side tonight and plan to take them out on the day after tomorrow so they aren't in too long. But how many times do you normally have to repeat the braids until the mane just naturally lays on the right side?

    It used to be an old tradition that horses that were trained in the english disciplines had manes that layed to one side and horses that were trained in the western disciplines had half their manes on one side and the other half on the other side
