Try 100% Organic Raw Coconut Oil. You can feed 1 to 2oz in the feed AM & PM. It will help repel pests, boost the immune system, and promote healthy skin, shiny coat, mane and tail. I is a natural antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant. For the exterior, it will absorb into the hair to condition and shine and can be used on the hooves as well. For any bare spots, hot spots, abrasions, or cuts, it will form a chemical barrier and promote healing.
100% Organic Hemp oil (0% THC non psychoactive) will promote skin, coat, mane, tail and hoove health as well and can be fed the same as coconut oil. Best if used together. The hemp oil will promote stronger hair growth. It is has Omega 6 and omega 3 in a 3:1 ratio, the best for mammals. It also contains Omega 9 and GLA. The omega 3 and GLA help to reduce or eliminate inflammation. Google hemp oil for horses and coconut oil for horses to read for yourself what everyone else is finding out. It isn't snake oil, it's science. We use it on a rescue horse and he is coming around nicely. We will be taking pics every friday to chart his improvement. We have already seen the positive results on several other horses who were in less than great shape. Hope this helps!
