I think Ill stick to just banding...lol. I show western anyways.

So how long does the mane have to be to band anyways? I've never done it before and I’ve just always wondered.

The gals comment about a pet motorcycle is sadly true in some cases. I’ve seen it before and the rider doesn’t get that one-on-one with horse, and rides in lessons and in the ring, the trainer takes care of "issues". Even though banding isnt as involved as braiding, it stills gives me that 20 minutes of "talk" time....lol

Thanks for sharing the slideshow with us.

Great vid!
Its so true how she said that many of the kids today don't have that intamit relastionship with their horses any more, like owning a pet motorcycle. Its really sad to see. Theres the one horse Gus when I first came into the barn he had a really awsome owner she was kinda the heart of the barn, since she started to loose interest she sold him, after that he became deppressed. And now the girl who owns him dosent give a crap about him all she wanted to do was show (which never happend) He had so much talent a 10,000 horse turn into a fat/additue/depressed stall horse. They are now selling for 8,000 I wish I could buy him.

Does anyone know of a good web site to learn all those braids?

From east to west a travlin gypsy found her prancing pony for now their hearts run as one...into the north
