The label says ENCOURAGES growth.

ANY shampoo, conditioner that is applied to an area on a body that is clean and massaged to stimulate the circulation can encourage growth.

My farrier swears by it for itchy, scratchy horses.

My sensitive horse will welt up at the smallest amount of MTG, but several other horses at my boarding facility handled it just fine. Some of them noticed mane growth, some didn't. All were careful to apply only in the evenings to allow it to soak in - didn't want the oil burning the horses in the Texas sun.

I use it on my horse all the time. Yes it doesnt smell great but I don't think its too bad. Any rain rot or itchy spots he has I put it on and it works great for him!
