Managed to do the braid!

I managed it! I managed to finally braid Dakota's tail in a ... uh... um... I don't know what type of braid it is, but I see it all the time online and stuff, and love the braid, so decided to try it and did it on the first try! It's not near as tight or anything as it should have been, but I think I did pretty good!

After taking it out, lol...

Lol, thanks! This was the first time I've ever actually tried... I managed to do it once years ago, like, when I was fourteen... and after that, never again, lol... I'm so excited... and proud!

Looks really good, especially for a first try!

I've been practicing that braid for a little while now, and still haven't gotten it that good. Lol

Yes, really great job!
My fingers are just not coordinated enough to manage some thing like that!

I like the look of it once you took it out too, all in ringlets....

that's very good for a 1st try.

Here is a tip for you, to keep a braid of any form tight you need to keep your thumbs on top whilst braiding. This helps you keep the tension in the hair and enables you to secure the braid just by squeezing your thumb downwards.

RIDE your horse FORWARDS and keep him STRAIGHT

That's so cool haha, I do that the night before a show and then plait the rest of the tail for the night aswell so it's all curly and full looking for the show (Seeing as how I can do the braid, but not to a showing standard )
I get all my practise from my 7yo sister wanting me to plait her hair all the time

getting them to show standard is all about keeping them tight!
