    I can keep them tight but I do the whole braid to thick, like you would french plait a humans hair, so then I can't finish it properly .
    But that's alright, I don't show much yet anyway so I've got time to practise making it look better.

    That is great for a first try. My horse I had at work was always my guinea pig for my attempts at new braids. It has been years since I have done it and my current horse isn't even trained to tie yet so we have a ways yet before I can do her tail. Not to mention she needs to grow some more tail. Her old paddock buddy chewed most of it off.
