Mane on Mare Thick on BOTH sides?!

My new mare, Kariba(yay!), has a REALLY thick, nice mane! I love it! But.....its on both sides of her neck. Not that I mind, but its not just a tiny peice..... its like a full mane on both sides! Its too thick on one to bring it to the other side. I mean, its like a double mane!lol
Anyone have any ideas? I doon't want to cut it short. :)

My Morgan had the same exact issue.... I think it is a Morgan thing. Do you plan on showing her? Show standards for Morgans are the same as Arabs.....they want long thick flowing manes and even most English and Western shows allow it just the same as an Arab, just follow the Arab guidelines. If it really is bugging you and getting in the way you can 1) keep it braided or 2) (gulp) thin it...but I really recommend you don't as you may regret it some day if you do decide to go to a Morgan show

My mares mane used to be like this. I thinned it (and was glad I did!) then tamed it over to one side. She thought it'd be a good idea to rip the middle of her mane out, so now I'm having to go through this again....ahhh.
