Manes!

I have some horses with really cool/pretty manes and others with not so great manes. I don't know what I should do with them! I'm bored, plus some of these are awful! Take Dusty's and Red's for example.

Tony's mane. He doesn't have that great of a neck, so I don't want to roach, but what can I do!?

Dusty's mane. She's not a very pretty horse anyway (big head, weird build), so it doesn't matter if whatever makes it look bad. I'm thinking about roaching it just because it's that much of a PITA to deal with.

Rooster's mane. I kind of like his, I think it's kind of cute. I've had people say I should roach it, but I don't know, I really like it pulled.

Red's mane. Yuck. He's got a very cresty mane, so I think roaching it might do him some good.

Another shot of Red's (and Dusty's) mane(s). Ugh.

Mac's mane is usually beautiful (he's been rolling). This old guy is 31 years old and still looks great!

Roany's mane. I know he looks pathetic here, but, believe it or not, that's his typical winter coat! He doesn't have Cushings, either. We rescued him about a year and a half ago and he looks GORGEOUS in the summer, especially his mane... it's really shiny and smooth.

Another shot of Roany's mane. He's got such a sweet face!

I know Tony is the main horse in this picture, but you can see Buster also. I love his little "mohawk," and it's natural!

I usually just pull Rooster's and leave the rest.

It depends on the type of showing that you want to do with them

I'm planning on showing the black one (Roany) and the red dun with just the star (Rooster) in jumping and English, and I'm also planning on barrel racing Rooster and the grey-ish pony (Buster). I'm just sick of dealing with the buckskin's (Dusty) and the red dun with the star and snip's (Red) manes. So I'm wondering what all options I can explore. :)

Oh, I also forgot to add that I want to show the buckskin and the black in gaited Western pleasure. :)
