Mares and their tails

Anyone have any secrets for getting the white tails on my palominos realllllly white? The ends are a little yellow!!!!

You can get special shampoos for white horses (or horses with white manes and tails) that makes it whiter. Also, sometimes human shampoo can really help in a yellowed tail. Chalk and baby powder I know is good for stained socks and legs but I'm not sure if it'd work on a tail!

Thanks. I have tried the shampoos, and bluing. OxiClean was a little harsh but did whiten fairly well. I am going to try the powder.
