Mtg

I'm planning on buying MTG on the internet (because they don't have it in store here). It's for Hoku's tail and and part of her mane. How many bottles do you think I should get? I'm thinking I should buy multiple bottles (if I need it) so I don't have to pay for a ton of shipping all the time. Where do you find is the best place to get it? Thanks :).

Hmmm, I'm not really sure what the best place to get it online is, but I would say 2-3 bottles are likely to last you a LONG time. You don't need a whole heck of a lot of it, and you only need to use it about once a week. I used it on my mare once last fall, and then about three times so far this spring and I've noticed a drastic difference in her tail. And I still have about half a bottle left, and that's with it being used on other horses as well.

I think I would contact Shapley's directly and see if they have any distributors there. If not maybe they can get you a good case price.
Maybe set you up a distributor? That way you could get it at a cut rate. Shapleys

ETA: Maybe you could get a mixed case with a few of their other products. I love the Hi Shine shampoo.

I second what MacabreMikolaj said - 3 bottles will last you FOREVER. My boy gets really bad rain rot every single time it rains, or even if it's too humid outside (not very convenient for living in FL!), and one bottle still lasts me a really long time.

I would probably only buy two bottles. I bought one in december and I still have about half of it left. I bought mine at a feed store but you can buy some on Jeffersequine.com for the same price.

Poor guy :(. Humidity here is terrible right now! I'm about dying at work! Although you guys probably get it worse. Florida is kinda like Hawaii right? I've never been there so I have no idea at all.

I've only been to Hawaii once, but I was 3 years old haha so I don't really remember what it's like there. But it's quite common for us to get 90+ degree weather with 90%+ humidity. I've taken Simon to a show before during hurricane season, & he's been almost completely bald - thank god you're not counted off for riding a hairless pony in the Jumper ring =P

As someone else said, I'd either go to Shapleys or one of your major local tack stores (for me, it would be Welsh's or Lammle's) and they might be able to order it in for you.
You could probably also get it from your local vet or vet's office. :)

Ok thanks :). Hmmm, I never thought of the vet . . . Though he might jack up the price :/. I did go to Shapleys.com and found out that they do sell mtg on neighbor islands. So I think I'll call them to see if they'll ship it to me (maybe it'll be cheaper than coming from the mainland).
