Mud Shield Powder?

Has anyone tried this Keratex Mud Shield Powder -

I thought it might be a good investment for a feathered horse in Spring mud. I mean, it's not expensive... I'm just worried I'll go through a lot 'cuz, well, I have a feathered horse pastured in Spring mud. Bleh.

It seems like a good thing, but for me, it would be too much hassle.
It says to apply daily on clean dry legs. I don't know about you, but my horses plus mud equals dirty wet legs.

One of my boarders used it a few years ago. We figured it was simply a mix of corn starch and baby powder.
