Nohea's first bath

Nohea had his first bath yesterday and I am so proud of him. The guy I bought him from had him from birth and told me that he never really bathed him so I was a little nervous to see how he would react, even though he has been AWESOME about everything else. Anyway he was such a good boy, he just stood there and didn't even move a muscle. I love my baby.

I need to give my guy a bath. I have hosed him down but never a full bath. I will let you know how it turns out.

This hot weather probably didn't hurt! I'm trying to get mine used to it (they've never really been bathed either) and on these hot days it's like "whoa, whatcha doin'? ...ooooooooh."

I know, it was a spare of the moment thing I didn't really plan on giving him his bath. When I started to bath him I realized my camera was at home and I couldn't just stop in the middle of it. I was just proud of my boy for being good and wanted to share :)

Could not give him a bath today because the pasture next to ours caught fire today. So bath was out. It was caused by lighting and was put out before to much damage. Hope to try again tomorrow

Congrats on the first bath! It is such an important part of horse grooming, especially depending on your weather.. I know where I am, my horse definitely appreciates a squirt-off after each ride!!
