Hi I got given a braiding kit and im not sure what this is,any help is appreciated

I believe that is a comb used for thinning a mane.

It is a thinning comb. I have a very old one at home that has almost all of the teeth missing. I've never used one, but I'd like to have a usable one to use on my TWH's mane :P
