We have the worst horseflies and ticks around her. I coat my horses in Endure, Swat, and I even spray their legs with Deet and we still get attacked. Not to mention my mare has a freak out if a horsefly bites her belly. Only time she's ever offered a buck in her life.
An older man in the group seemed to be the only one of about 10 horses not getting bit up. So of course everyone wanted to know why.
He uses 1/3rd Apple Cider, 1/3 brown Listerine, and 1/3 of the Real pine scented pin sol.
I went over personally after the ride and his horse was the only one without ticks. Star had four on her.
I'm all for using it but is it safe?
