polish??

Hi I just wondered if anyone else tends to use house hold polish to shine up thier horses coats before a show etc?

I know of a few people that have or do and some people I used to work with there shires used to use polish on them before they were used for weddings etc...

I personally have never used polish on horses....

What about everyone else?

What kind of polish? I'd think anything made for wood shouldn't be used on animals because of their carcinogenic qualities.

If you want a nice sheen but don't want to pay for regular horse products, any type of human hair polisher works nicely.
