Pulled Jaxxon’s Mane

I pulled Jaxxon’s mane a few days ago...

Personally, I love it! It may not be that great of a job, but it’s short and I think it looks very nice on him! I’ve recently become a fan of short manes, lol... they don’t get in the way (lol). All of my horses now have short manes... Dakota’s is roached and is growing back in a mohawk... Gypsie’s is pulled, and now so is Jax’s!

He's also gaining weight nicely... I extended his fence today, so now he has double the space to run around and graze in... at least, until the other horses get more used to him and I can put him out in our fifty acres with the rest of the herd.

Me too! He looks really sporty

Alot of people I know hate roaching them... but I did Cerra's and l-o-v-e LOVE it! It's alot less maintenance for sure, and it just adds a little more character, I think. My husband laughed when he saw her after her cut. Said that she reminded him off a donkey! LOL.

XD! My grandma, when I roached my mares mane almost two years ago, and when I roached my gelding's mane about a month ago said that they looked like donkeys... I was all like 'well, that can be your opinion, I personally love it'.

I think a pulled mane is going to suit Jaxxon... I'll probably keep it pulled, or keep it on the shorter side, lol...

Awwww adorable! You did a much better job than I did with my Jax. I used clippers and it has that classic "why did you cut it!?" look about it. He looks great!

Did you scissor it or pull it? Cute but I hope you don't have to plait him anytime soon!

I did a little of both... pulling and scissors... I was in a bit of a hurry when I did it and he still wasn't used to being tied...

I mainly did it becauseit's just too hot for a long mane right now... but i've totally fallen in love with it and when it grows back out some, I'm going to do t properly (now that he stands tied much better).
