ROACHED HIS MANE!! We ended up using scissors, because that's all we had. Now we're waiting for it to ... settle down, or up? Been running our hands up and down up and down. Love it! We think it looks AMAZING!!

Pictures!!!

Just shows the after. But what we did, is I tied up sections of hair with bands to get a good amount to cut that wouldn't be too much, and also to help keep it even. Added a slight arch and cut a bridal path.

:) my sis cuts the first section and cries "i hate it! Why'd you make me do this?! Why'd you make me do this?!" then in the next breath "oh it doesn't look too bad. I kinda like it"

But she and I both love it!!

Sorry to hear about the clipper issue. I'm sure Jake would be at the mercy of my handiwork it I had to use scissors the first time. I have gotten pretty good now.

Otherwise congrats! Its looks really good! When you want to do a trimming later on I suggest getting the mane wet then brushing it up, that helps with keep it even. =)

That is a beautiful boy you have there. I think he's perfect for a roached mane. I roach the mane on my paint too. I went all the way with clippers and now I let it grow out just slightly so I can curve it some and round out his neck. I absolutely love it. Did it last summer so it's been a year and I don't know if I'll ever let it grow back out now. :)
