Roaching my Minis Mane

So I am having a HUGE battle with Burrs!!.. my minis are getting the worse end of the deal with the burrs, Im pretty sure it's because they are so low to the ground

Anyways.. I can pick them out.. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to keep them out of their manes, and it kinda works for a little bit.. and then stop working, It's like they are out rolling in the bushes!! It gets in their foretops, Manes, Tails, and even their winter coat.. So Im thinking about roaching at least my one minis mane.. My littlest one has a sad mane anyways, so it doesn't get too bad. Do you think it would grow back good?? It's just I don't want her getting sore from the burrs, It's crazy hard to keep them out!! I think it would both do us some good if I just roach her mane, She won't have to deal with me pulling out burrs (Which she HATES).. and I won't have to deal with a Moody pony!

What do you think? Im open to suggestions before I do this.. It's just getting REALLY tiring! I know Im not the only one with this problem!! Lol

Well I personally looooooove roached manes! My boss' horse I ride and stuff is the dirtiest horse ever, pretty much :p and he would ALWAYS get burrs all over. So I roached it (esp cause I loooove it when they grow out and get moawks haha). I didn't have clippers, so I had to use scissors. Still looked good in my opinion :p

And yes, he is chubby haha!

I like Roached manes too :) But I have never gotten enough nerve to do it to one of my horses.. But with the Mini's its just getting out of hand, I've also tried taking burrs out of the pasture and they always find some.. Im worried about what my mini will look like without a mane too!! Lol
