Scallop braids first attempt

I know that scallop braids are designed for a longer mane, but I thought I would try an experiment with them on G Man, I only did a few just to play, and so far I quite like the affect.

As you can see a bit rough and ready

But I like the look

This wasn't so much for the braids I just love his expression here

It's funny, he almost camouflages with the barn in that last picture. The braids are cool... I've never bothered to try them before, but maybe I will sometime.

Fun braids, maybe I'll try them on Miss Lil's mane.

A way that can help keep the fuzzies down is wet the mane a little and use some hair spray or gel one the braids. However I usually only do that for parades, shows or that kind of thing.

I agree Chameleon Horse!!!!!

I can't wait for Rebel's mane to grow out so I can do these....It's just too short since I cut it for Dressage D:

Those look GREAT on him! :)

Good job GH! When I tried on my student's pony I just couldn't get it finished well enough to make me happy. Definitely going to do some more practicing!

It definitely takes practice, that was my very first attempt, I learned a lot just with those few.

I can't wait to have a go with the Haffies, I keep having this weird notion of fixing each braid with a little bow
