Shedding Season!

Lol only us being crazy horse people would think of these things...

Your horses are shedding? Mine don't seem to be even close! But when they do, a shop vac could be an excellent idea!

My pony sheds like a beast! She lightly started mid-January and went into full force shed-mode probably a week or two ago. She grows a buttload of hair too, and doesn't finish completely until July. We do suspect she has the beginnings of cushings. However, this year since she doesn't shed out (well, sheds out patchy all over), I will be getting her body clipped in ~2 weeks. In other years though I have found bathing works, really helps to loosen the hair. Otherwise, I haven't found much to help her.

I think bathing may help, and the shedding blocks work wonders. But unless you clip there legs I think most horses just shed out slowly.
