Short mane

I roached Gidget's mane during the summer. Now I am letting it grow back to it's normal length. I miss braiding it soo much! I can put it in tiny tiny braids but they end up sticking up. All I have left to braid is her tail. Any ideas that can help me stay occupied with her mane..I think it's about 3 inches now since august.

not for scallops. 3 inches is perfect for normal braids. hair for scallops should be like 4 inches or 5 because when you braid it, it shortens the overall length from the un braided hair to the braided hair
