Should I get his tail braided?

Hi everyone!

I'm going to the southeast medal finals in September. I've never had my horses tail braided because his butt has a bump at the top and I never thought it would look attractive. However, it's an AA rated show and I'll be showing in the 3' junior medal. Should I get his tail braided anyway? I don't want to look out of place.

I'm going to say yes... We bring our show team for riders with disabilities to shows and although the competition doesn't take it seriously (they don't braid tails/manes) we ALWAYS braid. You gotta look the part! Even if I were to go for a job interview at Walmart I would still dress in business or at least business casual attire! ;)

I suggst braiding it just because it will be more attractive to the eye and might put you higher up becuas you took the thught to get it done. It also depends on the judge some judges will put you higher than others for the tails

It's an AA rated so I think everyone will have their tail done, or at least everyone down here always gets it braided , I just don't know if it will take away from my horse's performance since his butt isn't round? But I don't want to look tacky or left out either.. UGH!

Since it's AA rated and everyone else will have their horse's tail braided, I definitely think you should braid. I don't think it would take away from your horse's performance. A neatly done braid will look at least decent on nearly any horse. Even if it doesn't look the BEST EVER, at least the judge will see that you tried and that you put extra effort into looking your best. I think not braiding his tail would make you stand out in a negative way. That's just my opinion, though!
