    Should I roach?

So I have a mare that rubs her mane off every summer. On top of that her mane is on the thin side and only grows about 3 inches a year! I use M-T-G for 9 weeks and it didnt help. I have used anit fungle stuff as well and she still rubs it off. Everyone in my paddock has nice long manes and my mare has a thin mane with a huge missing chunk 99% of the time. So my question is should I roach it? I want her to have a cleaner look not so scraggly. With her mane always rubbed in the middle, it makes her look old! I put fly spray on her regularly and she has fly mask on. So should I? Or is there anything eles that can make her mane loom a little better or grow faster?? Thank you
