SHOW TOMORROW! Trying to get ready

I had to switch out horses from the original one that I had intended to take. I have a mare that is 13 years old and shown at halter about 10 years ago, but has been a broodmare since. She did not have a baby this year and is in riding condition. Her feet are in good shape and condition wise she is fine.

What are some simple things that I can do to just touch her up a little and have fun showing?

The second part is a Colt that I raised this year (5 months old) has a Trojan mane. How can I get it to lay over for the show? Band it? How much hair do you band at one time?

For the first part, what type of classes are you showing and how broke is the mare? When is the show?

Well, band the colts mane. That's what you always do. For the mare shave her face and eats and legs. If she has white, spray it with shapleys. Put hoof clear on the hooves. Don't use black unless the horse is black. Band the mane, and put a fake tail in. Bviously you don't have to do all of this, but the more you do, the more professional it looks
