Funny slide-show My Vida is the same way. I do bathe her regularly in the summer months. I have to make sure she is completely dry and then turn her loose in an area of grass, no dirt. She immediatly rolls after a bath or a brushing. My other 3 aren't big rollers, only her. Must be different by horse.

Great slide show! And I can relate. Not so bad with my bay, but with the palonino...wow! She's not a 'girlie girl", but still, I'd like her to look pretty sometimes! Lol

Oh boy xD Loki loves to roll in the dirtiest patches he can find. The best part is when he comes out looking like he hasn't seen a brush in months one day and perfectly pasture clean the next.

I wish his mane would do that :roll: he finds EVERY cocklebur in the pasture. Right now I have absolutely no time to spare for grooming (we're moving x.x this is one of my five minuet breaks xD) and it looks like he found the source for all the worlds cockleburs. Oi!

My boy digger is EXACOLY like that, people always give me weird looks cause of him, but we have alot of wind here, and with the water it freezes his butt right off!! Unless Im going to a show I don't :)
Even if its dry out, he some how always comes out looking like a bay.. hmm...

At the farm where my daughter rides there are 4 horses with a lot of white (2 paints, a pinto, and an appy POA). They are the only horses that roll regularly. The pinto is beautiful black and white and I feel so sorry for the little girl who rides him. She and her grandma spend all this time grooming and cleaning him up, and the second he gets into his pasture after a ride he rolls. It's muddy right now and the poor girl watches her handiwork turn black after every ride. My dogs do the same thing--as soon as they get clean, they go outside and roll. Come to think of it, even my kid gets dirty immediately after she gets clean...

Yep, my boy loves nothing more than a good roll. After a bath, after a ride, when he's sweaty, roll in the mud, roll in the hay, roll in the grass. Doesn't matter to him that he's a dirty messy boy, he just enjoys it and I laugh at him.
