So what does everyone like to use for shampoo and conditioners, sponges, and sprayers. As well as spray shines and detanglers.

Personally I love cowboy magic. I used to use Rio Vista but I don't think they make it anymore. But Cowboy Magic is awesome, it smells so good I love the detangler It works magic. But I saw this thing called the Ezall and I was wondering if anyone has used that at all. It seems neat because you hook the hose right up to the bottle and spray and don't have to do any scrubbing which seems like a wicked time saver :) Which is a plus, and you don't get a bath too! lol Can you use any shampoo and condition with that though or does it have to be the Ezall stuff, though I have heard their shampoo stuff is super good. Clinton Anderson backs it anyways.

Lol, sorry, we do too and its 0 out right now. But I am thinking ahead. I am crossing my fingers that the end of March all this, excuse my language, crap is gone and there will be green grass on the ground and 60 plus degrees. I am really hoping and praying anyways.

Our high was 77*F last week.

I am so excited about giving Sun her first bath of the year.
I like Gallop shampoos, and Mane 'n Tail conditioners. I use my jelly scrubber as the bathe tool.

Sunny, what's a jelly scrubber? Do y'all use a sponge to wipe them down. I have one horse that I still have to desensitize to a spray from the hose. Also when it's just in the 70's can you just use cold water. I have no access to warm water.
Thanks all

I gave Nikki her first bath tuesday..it's been soooo nice here for the past week..I wore shorts and tank top all tuesday afternoon..It's pretty much in the 70s all day but still gets cold at night..it's colder today than it has been in the past week and it's 64 out..

I really like the Cowboy Magic stuff and Mane N Tail..BUT, trying to not spend so much I like to use Dove body wash with moisturizer and then Dove conditioner..I like to leave a little conditioner in her mane and tail so I won't rinse it all out..works pretty good and doesn't kill my paycheck..I use my Oyster curry brush for a scrubber..

-Sigh ... so jealous - we barely made it to 40 today and that is warm for Chicago this time of year.. my 2 year old filly still has dried up diarrhea on her tail since we brought her home at Christmas :-( Just can't wait to get my Cowboy Magic Shampoo out.. first bath probably will not happen till end of April IF we are lucky..

This got me all excited for spring! Bath Time! I am so excited to see how my guy looks without being yellow all the time. Just ordered some quicsilver but used to use mane 'n tail shampoo. *sigh* oh right I just remembered there is a foot and a half of snow (better then the 2 and a half we had a week ago) and it is supposed to get down to zero tonight.

Maybe we'll get lucky and spring will come early, after all, the turn out sheet just came in. It will be perfect timing.

Its summer here, Mollys already had a few baths this year...
I use Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner (For humans) But it works wonders, her mane and tail shine and dont need brushing for days! I have never really used de tanglers or shine sprays, just Flaxseed oil, garlic and lots of bruhsing to keep the shine on.

I jelly scrubber is a little curry that is a jelly like substance. You can type it into any online tack store and it should come up. It works great I love mine. I just use cold water and a sponge we don't have hot water through the hose.

Satrider, the general rule of thumb is that if you can be outside in a short sleeve shirt and be comfortable, it's okay to bathe your horse with cold water. I know I can wear a tee in the 70s! Haha.
Like stated, a jelly scrubber is basically a curry comb made of a gel-like material. It is by far my favorite grooming tool.

We don't have hot water at our horses either, I just use the hose..I think it's fine to bathe them if its in the 70s..like Sunny said, if you're comfortable then it should be fine..I do like the jelly scrubbers although I don't have one..I did but it walked off all by it self and NO ONE has seen it..

lol it got up to like 72 today..

Sigh, the grand high today was 20. Took Gizzy for a walk and it seems a bit less icy than it was. So might go for a ride tomorrow. I heard maybe rain on Saturday, which is both bad and good, good because it melts the snow, bad because when it gets cold again it will be a sheet of complete ice. But rain is a good sign that spring is nearing. Just a few more weeks hopefully. I got my fingers crossed.
