Question sun bleached black manes?

okay so obviously my pretty little black and white paint mare has been sunbleached this summer. While her coat has turned back to black, her mane is still that coppery blonde at the tips of her forelock... and her patch of black within her mane is also a bit coppery but not to the extent of the forelock.

My question is, should I dye it back black for show season? If I should what product should I use? Human dye? Permanent or demi?

I need answers! Lol. What do you guys do?

Besides that you can stop it from the source. At the start of spring, add 1 tbsp of ground cinnamon to her feed. It should stop sun fading.

I'm guessing! Some ladies at my barn do it but I'm not much of an observer when it comes to other horses

wow! Now those are some absolutely splendid results. Now not to see the negative in things or anything, but without the fly sheet would the results be similar? Or should I basically just make it a dual package and purchase a fly sheet/paprika usage?

Thanks so much for those links Fahntasia!!!

I say go ahead and buy the fly sheet anyways, it won't hurt anything :)

Your welcome =)
I would use the fly sheet paprika combo as well, just to be sure that your horse keeps a nice dark color
