Question Tail braiding HELP!

Help meeee please lol, My problem is that of my mares tail I'm takein her to a show in 7 days and I have to braid her tail I can braid tail but her tail is a mess see pic it looks fine for a working stock horse but not for show the top of her tail is so fluffy the braid looks soooooooooo bad I will go to the tack store this week before show but don't have much money

honestly, just do a search on here, there are tons of threads about braids. I'm sure there are horses with similiar tails being discussed on those.

Get it really really wet and pull very tight, those tails take strength, not talent. If you can braid most tails, then try, once you get down a bit you don't have to pull quite so hard. It's just about strong hands, the hair looks plenty long to wrap around the bone, so just pull, pull, pull!

keep it wrapped with vetwrap on the top so that it can be grown without getting rubbed off
