Coconut Oil is wonderful make sure it is pure CO though :) I also use Eqyss products because they are all natural and really good for their hair/manes/tails.

Braid it, condition the heck out of it and then put it in a tail bag. It worked for my mare.

I stick with natural products as well, or atleast I try too...I do use Mane and Tail products too, just because they have worked really well in the past, but as a dog groomer I have been able to use and find lots of natural products that work with fabulous results! I love Eqyss, although they are really spendy!

Where can I buy that stuff? And Coconut Oil?

Thanks for the suggestion. I was going to braid it and put it in a tail bag!

I think any type of hair oil would be great. I've heard olive oil is good as well as coconut. I like the hair oils used by African Americans. Check your local stores, there is usually a section of hair products.
I like Africas Best Herbal hair oil. They sell it at wally world and walgreens here. Not sure what available in you part of the world.
I think an oil would be best if your going to bag it.
