Thicker tails? Longer and thicker feathers and whitening from yellow?

Title pretty much sums it up, Arthur had mites and has rubbed a lot of his tail out, is there anything I can do to get it to grow back thicker again (I've gotten rid if the mites now :)) also I was wondering how to get his feathers longer, he is a gypsy horse and I think he would look so much nicer with thicker longer feathers and another thing, his mane tail and feathers have all gone this dirty yellow colour and get even yellower when he is wet? How do I get him white again? Is it just a bath? Thanks :)

His tail and feather will take a long time to grow... You just need to be patient.
As for the yellow coloring... That is very common, and all you need to do is bath him with warm, soapy water, and put on some sock whitening spray, then rinse that off.
If you don't have this spray, you can put a blue plastic bag in the water before you clean your horses feather... This gives the feather a very slight bluish shine, (You can't notice it unless you, look at the feather through a magnifying glass!!!) and makes the feather whiter :)
