Thoughts on using this product

I didn't buy this for my horse, it was sent to me by this company that I do consumer testing for. I can't use it for myself and plan on giving it to a friend to try but was wondering...could I use it on my horse? Her tail and forelock are awful. They've always been awful since she was a baby. Her tail grows out decent, but around the dock her hairs are just wiry and coarse, they stick out everywhere. She doesn't rub it, it's just the way it is. It's also been a fight to keep them laying right and looking good. Her forelock is just...I don't know. It's like it's just puffy and coarse and never grows into the normal texture that the mane and tail hairs are. So like I said, just wondering, is a product like this horse safe?

well... in theory this has been tested on animals before it ever got to people so in that respect i'm sure it's fine. however, i'm pretty sure it was not tested on horses. how is it used? what are the directions and side effects/potential issues listed on the product information? those things might give you a better idea on if you'd want to even try using it on your horse. i would worry about my horse standing still and not getting stuff in their eyes, etc. especially if you intend to use it on the forelock.

just my $.02

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have even put it on her forelock. I doubt I'll even use it. I opened it to get the info sheet out of it, it's like a 3 step process, plus it has a lot of chemicals in it I have never seen before. I opened one of the tubes and it smells like Nair stinks so bad! I'm not much on using a product that isn't labeled for horses or that hasn't been used by lots of people already anyway.
