If you can put hay racks in it encourages them to use them but where you have a lot of pecking order tussles going on the ones at the bottom of the heap will rarely get the courage to go in amongst others in a tight space
I agree. That is why, I have one 4x5 m shelter, but the door is quite narrow at the moment, I want to make 3 walls for my "hay shelter" atm it is just roof over a hay bale, but if I make walls I know they are safe from winds and rain.
