I pulled my horses mane the other day. It came out great! Perfectly even! He stood still the entire time it took to finish. Today he got a bath, I noticed his forelock needs to be trimmed to.
Do I pull that like I would pull his mane? Like brush it in with his mane pull it and them put it back between his ears?
In my experience, forelocks are left natural, and of course braided for shows. Pulling a mane is to make it easier to braid nicely for shows, and forelocks (in my experience) are a lot easier to do, regardless of thickness, because you're doing a French braid rather than a simple three-strand braid.
