I use orvus. Literally last forever and it's not too expensive (it's also super fun to stick your hands in and play with). It's super concentrated so you don't need much at all and and its great for removing stains and it keeps my horse's coat nice and shiny.

I like Mane and Tail; it dilutes nicely, rinses well, leaves my mare nice and silky. That's what I mainly use on her right now...

I usually just go to the dollar store and pick out shampoo and conditioner. Frequently some of them are name brands, and at the least they always have Suave and VO6. But I think since I have a grey horse now that I might invest in trying out shampoo color specific and see if I can tell the difference.

I like Cowboy Magic, but I don't show any only bathe a few times a year. Their coats shine up realy well and it gets all the winter grime out come spring.

Research has proven that horses have more sensitive skin that humans. It is best to stick with horse shampoos and conditioners. We can spill iodine on our skin and it just temporarily stains it. Spill iodine on a horse's skin and the hair will fall out and his skin may blister. How does a horse tell you the shampoo you used makes his skin feel like it's on fire? Fight you the next time you try to bathe him?

I use Vetrolin shampoo because I got it for free at a horse show. It's a nice, big bottle too! Oh, and it does smell nice and does a pretty good job of cleaning up my boys.
