I'm right there with you! Between my two vets, I owe $2,000.00. It sucks!

I have 1 horse, and that's my vet bill! LOL....god knows where I'd be if I had more than one...I shiver just thinking about it.

Nelson started with a choke, then it went from that to a nasty leg injury, and then it merged to a near death colic, and then so on and so on.

I am making monthly payments between the two, but it seems like it is taking forever to pay off. I am working 2 jobs - my regular job, then I groom dogs on the side and I make beaded browbands, just to help me pay off bills, board, horse care, and my vet bills.

It's always something isn't it! *sigh* I wish I were born rich, or married rich...lol.

    Amen sister!

It's just a never ending cycle, I think I am up to about $1500 in vet bills so far and that's just over the last few months.

First it was Nippa cutting his dock, then Hugo colicked REALLY badly, then Nippa's tail fell off, then Hugo had an infection in his belly from the colic, then Rex cut his leg (thankfully I managed to doctor that one without vet attention) and now Phoenix's colic! ARGH! Luckily my vet's are pretty understanding too and let me pay it all off.

If I didn't love them so freaking much my wallet would benefit from not having them! My heart says that's not an option though haha. I will go without proper food myself before my horses go without anything.
