Does he stand around out on pasture or move around pretty good? It doesnt make sense that would be a problem or it would have shown up prior to this.
Has he had any recent farrier work done?
Have you changed feeds?
Is it possible he was cast on a fence or something?
If he has no heat, no sign of injury, has had no change of diet or recent farrier work Its going to be hard to figure out, thus the vet would be a good call to make.
The vet is supposed to come out tomorrow.
Normally he walks around the pasture and doesn't just stand. I agree that it seems like this would've been a problem before if it was standing still related.
He had 2 front shoes put on Friday by the farrier that's been doing it for months. He has had front shoes since I got him. What sort of farrier work might cause swelling in 3 legs?
There's been no change in feed.
It is unlikely but not impossible he got cast on a fence. There are fences out there but he rarely goes near them.
There's no heat, no sign of injury, and no obvious lameness. It's very odd. My BO has been around horses for many many years and she couldn't figure out anything that could've caused it either. I'm worried. I'm quite anxious to hear what the vet thinks.
