Absess or am I obsessing?

So I moved my horse to a new property and within the week he had supposedly gone through a fence (although there are a lot of down fences there) and I had found an open sore on his coronet,so with those factors I thought nothing of it but as I look at the pictures it looks more like an absess and it still hasn't healed. Am I just going crazy and obsessing over it?

Here is a link the sore in question is in there (not the long cut under the fetlock - that has already healed) I will get a pic in here as soon as I am on a computer

He may have nicked it on something. Keep an eye on it and clean it out if it gets dirty is my best advice

I thought my horse had foundered last week. I'm with you on the paranoia thing. (He didn't founder... His hoof sole had just looked funny.)

I have cleaned it, iced it, wrapped it and so far it seems nothing helps. It keeps swelling over his hoof (his hoof is flat on that side because of his leg being turned in) I have cleaned it and put an antibacterial on it but now the antibacterial is frozen because winters here are harsh its been keeping an average of 15 degrees through the day and -4 at night. Now we have snow hopefully it will help get the swelling down.
