Acute Renal Failure Recovery

Hi All. Last Friday I thought my good gelding was colicing so hauled him to the vet. After initial examination and subsequent bloodwork, he was diagnosed with acute renal failure. Short story is he ingested SOMETHING (don't have any clue, was in a pasture he has been in since April along with 6 other horses and NO one else is ill) which caused sudden onset, severe diarrhea (think cow patties). Vet said would be great to put him on a digestive aid, but after looking at ALL of them, I am wondering if anyone out there has any recommendations on a product they have used & had great results from. Thanks!
