adequan shots

I give adequan injections on a monthly basis but with show season coming up I'm going to do the boosters. I gave the first one on Saturday so today is day four and I should be giving a shot. But it's goign to be dark when I get home so I was debating on just giving it Sat. Morning.

Has anyone given the boosters and did they follow the 4 day cycle or did they deviate? I was wondering if it would matter if I did one a week for 7 weeks or if the 4 day cycle is specific....?

Adequan does not recommend monthly use of their product as it is ineffective.

In order to get the full effectiveness of the product you must use it once every 4 days for 7 shots. I do 3-4 rounds of Adequan a year, as often as my vet suggests. I just started a cycle now, and will likely do 1 or 2 more before show season is over.
If your vet is recommending otherwise you need to ask them why and ask them why they are going against the manufacturers recommendations. My vet is adamant that the only way to get max results is with the rounds and that the monthly injections are ineffective. He is a sport horse and lameness specialist.

Huh...I will definitely ask them, because I don't want to waste my money! So you suggest running down to the barn tonight and doing the second dose... willd do.
