Indy, bless you for taking that little guy. Also, warmed my heart that you were generous with the hay. I'm sure that act will come back to you somewhere down the road.

He's adorable! Wishing you lots of luck with him and hopefully a speedy road to health for your little guy.

So sad that they were trading him for hay. =(
Makes me want to rescue a horse! Actually, I've been banned from going to auctions in case I actually do =P

We had a great old hackney pony named mighty mouse...cuz he was so little but thought he was SOOO big! When he did his big boy trot, i swear his knees came to his nose! No wonder why the granddaughter was scared of him....our hackney lived to 32 and would have pulled a car until the day he died. Either way, he is super cute and already gelded is a huge plus!

Oh and i didn't notice the yellowing in the picture, i just saw the long toe. Hes so young, i bet you can get him back on track in no time.

darkwillow, I know, huh? I think it's a really sad situation, I don't think they are bad people.

corino, the owners mentioned he does do the really high action trot, both under saddle and under harness, as well as just out in the pen - kind of makes me wonder if someone put those long toes on him on purpose, but even so, those feet are waaaay too long. Heheh Mighty Mouse is an adorable name!

You are welcome to take it...mighty was one heck of a pony who tried his heart out in everything he did. Now that you say that about his toes...that could be the reason. Id rather see someone try to take a bit off with a file then leave them THAT long!

He is so adorable, and I think Mighty Mouse or just mouse would suit him really well. He looks like such a sweetie.

Hehe what a lil cutie

Here, you can get a brand new halter for $6.

Pretty sad! Atleast they did ad him instead of leaving him to rot.

Good on you btw, i wish you the best of luck!
