Alfalfa pellets VS Hay what brand???

Due to the skyrocketing Alfalfa prices here in Arizona, I am thinking of changing my horse's diet to a mixture of Alfalfa pellets and Bermuda grass hay. There are two types of pellets that have been suggested to me, Lakin Estrella and Sacate brand. Does anyone have an opinion as to which is better or are they more or less the same? Right now I feed one flake of alfalfa with one flake of Bermuda twice a day, and since I have a nursing Mare, I supplement her at lunch time with equine senior feed and some alf/berm mix pellets. She seems to be doing well with this and is nice and shiny and healthy. My one month old filly is also doing well and is growing like a weed! Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you everyone!

Some companies do make a plain alfalfa pellet, which is not a complete feed. It is just alfalfa in the shape of a pellet.
A complete feed is stuff (alfalfa may or may not be in there) with vitamins and such added so that it fits all the nutritional needs for a horse.

If you are trying to simply replace hay you might want to go to cubes. It gives more stems than going to a pelleted alfalfa or a pelleted complete feed.
