    Red face Another deworming thread...Double-dosing?

Silly ol' me. I realized that I can't for the life of me remember the last time I dewormed Lacey. I thiiiink it was last fall, but it could have even been spring 2012.
She had a fecal done in the spring of 2012 and it came back with very low numbers - I do know the last time she had been dewormed was a year prior to that fecal.

I have very lax deworming protocol.

Anyhoo, since that fecal, she's lived alone in terms of horses. 2 goats were added last fall and they came with pretty serious worm issues but they were thoroughly dewormed with "the big guns" prior to leaving 'quarantine'.

The real issue at stake here is that I would like to double-dose her with ivermectin, just to see if that might help her ERU or get rid of some of her persistent itchiness. But I'm not sure if I should do a normal deworming, give her a week, and then double-dose, or what. I don't want to cause her system to go bonkers, that's for sure.
She doesn't show any signs of having a large worm load, at all, and she's never had any issues being dewormed before...but I've also never dose-dosed.

I've asked my vet about it and she didn't really have a strong opinion one way or the other.
I intended to get another fecal done when my vet came out a few weeks ago but forgot in the moment. And since my vet is a 100% mobile vet, it would be a $45 trip fee just to have her come out and get the required items for a fecal, plus the price of the fecal = I'd ideally like to not toss alllll my $$$$ into the 'wind'. Ideally.

I'd get the FEC done first just to be on the safe side- either find a nearby vet's office where you can drop off a sample, or get one of the kits where you mail it in.
