Thanks FaydesMom and Roadyy I will start a new thread and that way I can also keep it updated on his progress. I do have him in the pasture during the day and stalled with lots hay at night, one scoop of a mix of sweet grain and oats... he seems to be settling in for his first 3 days here, he is very calm and eating like a champ. Will start a new thread with more info and more pics. Thanks for the great advise :)

Looks like a Spotted Saddle/Gaited horse to me and looks like a nice one actually. Does he gait? Needs feeding and fitting up but he could come live with my any day.

Oh, he's mine. Must've got out of my yard here in NY.

Hello handsome! I just love those eyes.
Fingers are crossed that you are able to get some answers on where he came from.

I was thinking SSH also, but I haven't seen him move any faster than a walk since he's been here so I'm not certain yet if he's gaited. He tends to have that "sway" to his butt and a long strided "gliding" walk though, so I'm thinking he is. I'm just letting him chill for a few days before asking him for anything, so I'll soon have a little better idea what he is.

He's quite a character. His personality is just wonderful and he's a huge ham! I have about 20 pictures of various body parts that happened in between the two side shots I posted. Every time I would point the camera at him he would walk right up and stick his nose on it.

AC offered him to me if he goes unclaimed, so I'm going to adopt him as soon as the wait time expires. OOhhhh, Fayde is going to be so mad to become the "middle child" between Kenzie and Bug!

Oh yeah, don't know why, but I started calling him Bug and it's stuck...Blue Eyes is now AKA "Bug"...oh and sometimes "Frankie", as in "Old Blue Eyes" himself Frank Sinatra.

    /sigh

I don't think we have a critter that has only one name on our entire property.

I'm the same way with ours.

Trusty is inbetween names since I want to call him Al Saban, Al for the Alabama Mascot and Saban for the coach. Yet most only know him as Trusty so I call him that around them. Lol

Littleman is called Spot with his black and white color.

Sugar is BeBe because she reminds me of the kids on the old cartoon BeBe's kids.

Boo is sometimes called Chance because if there is a chance of someone getting hurt it will be him.

Jems is called B, for obvious reasons...lol

Just a few more pictures from the other day. The weather has been so ugly and dreary that I haven't even taken any new pictures.

His poor nose is dented and rubbed from his halter being on so long.

Me trying to get far enough away to take full body pictures...

It's like he just craves attention, he isn't pushy, but he just wants to be close to people. He follows me around like a big puppy, and he will stand still and almost fall asleep, and let me scratch him until my fingers feel like they are going to fall off.

EDIT: Oh my that looks ugly, that is NOT poo beside the barn, that is just stomped through mud from there being no gutters on the barn roof!! O.O

He will truly be a head turner once he grows some more. Looking forward to keeping up with this one.
