That's a pretty funny story! She is a good writer. I don't know about feeding a horse beet pulp. Something that expands so much seems like a risk.

I've used it a few times; it's actually quite good for your horse, especially if you're dealing with an aged horse with cushings disease. I used it with a qh gelding who had a very well sprung rib cage to help him keep a nice layer of fat (not fat, really, but kept the ribs from showing so much.) There's really no risk involved at all.
